Pouakai Paragraphs

A couple of weeks ago we started a story called The Story of the Pouakai it is a very good story and these are some paragraphs because we are learning how to set a paragraph out properly laid out  so take a look at what I have done.

Big Thumb

This week for Chapter Chat I decided to do a big thumb so how I did it I went on to google drawings and then traced around a thumb and then I did a background and added some things I hope you like it.

Personification

This week for writing we had to do a personification it was so fun. So we had to do a human characteristics and an object I loved to do it.

For Chapter Chat this week I did a type of juice that heals everything take a look

For writing we did some question of a book of like what the main idea is so take a look

1. What is the main idea of this story?

The main idea of the story is a big bird with massive wings 3 metres long. That feeds on people because the bird thinks its prey and it also feeds on other animals.

2. Why do you think this story has been told?

I think it has been told because people need to know what happened to this creature.

3. Do you think this story is factual or fiction? Why do you think this?

I think the story is fiction because It sounds to good and magnificent to be real.

4)  What do you notice about the language that is in this story? 

The storyteller used a lot describing words and detail. It also had some Te Reo in it.

David Walliams

This week we did our favourite author mine is David Walliams I have wrote some facts about him I hope you like it.

David Walliams

I really like David walliams because he writes really good books.
He has written a lot of books like world’s worst teachers I can’t
wait to read it.

David Walliams was born on August 20 1971 in london. He used
to study at Collingwood boys school in wellington and reigate
grammar school in surrey. He graduated with a bachelor of arts
and drama from the university of bristol.

In 2012 David Walliams won some landmarks achievements
awards for his tv career and achievements in charity work.
He won the specsavers national  book awards in the category
children's book of the year. For Ratburger,Demon Dentist and
awful auntie.

On march the 7th 2008 he swam 12 miles straight from spain to morocco again for sport relief. He completed the swim in just 4hours and 30mintues .

From september 5 to 12 2011 he swam the length of a river and
raised more than $2m dollars for sport relief.
